Mission Critical Partners’ David Jones, ENP is a Panelist at “9-1-1 Goes to Washington”

(State College, PA) Thursday, March 11, 2010—David Jones, ENP, a partner with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. (MCP), technical and operational consulting services provider for life safety communications, will serve on a key panel during the 2010 9-1-1 Goes to Washington conference. The panel will discuss “Next Generation 9-1-1 Transition Planning and Implementation: Resolving Technology and Policy Issues During the Transition.” Presented jointly by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the E9-1-1 Institute, the conference will be held at the Hilton Crystal City in Arlington, VA; and the panel session is at 9:45 am on Monday, March 15, 2010, in the Admiralty Ballroom.

Jones, MCP vice president, is an internationally known expert on E9-1-1 and emergency services. He has advocated for emergency services-related issues throughout North America, as well as in India, Brazil and Iceland. He testified before the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee on issues pertaining to E9-1-1 and next generation telecommunications networks. Among the first in the nation to be certified as an Emergency Number Professional (ENP) in 1997, he has administered, directed, managed, operated, and consulted with emergency service agencies and E9-1-1 departments throughout his 25-year career. In 2005, the Governor of South Carolina presented Jones with the “Order of the Palmetto,” which is the highest civilian award in the state; he received the distinction for his efforts to improve emergency services and communications in the community of Spartanburg and throughout the state of South Carolina. Jones is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
